Your internal OHS service, under control.
Portuguese law requires an internal OHS service once a single site (or 50 km cluster) reaches 400 workers, or once 30 workers are exposed to high-risk activities. Salvus centralises the establishment register, workers and obligations; full per-local-unit reporting aggregation is still being expanded.
When the law requires an internal service
- 400 or more workers at a single site
- 400 or more workers across sites within 50 km of each other
- 30 or more workers exposed to high-risk activities (art. 79), regardless of total company headcount
Even when these conditions are met, the ACT (labour authority) may authorise an exemption from the internal service in specific circumstances (art. 80).
